Black Friday THCA deals 2026: how to judge them in the last sale season
Straight answer
Black Friday and Cyber Monday 2026 land two weeks before the federal total-THC rule. Here is the calendar, the per-gram math for every common deal format, and how to tell a real doorbuster from bait.

Black Friday 2026 is Friday, Nov. 27 and Cyber Monday is Nov. 30, which is 14 and 11 days before federal law stops treating ordinary THCA flower as hemp on Dec. 11, 2026. Judge every Black Friday THCA deal on two numbers: the price per gram against a price you wrote down before the sale, and a ship date in writing that lands well before Dec. 11.
Last checked Oct. 3, 2026. This page does not list any seller’s sale, ours included. It is a method for judging them.
The 2026 calendar
| Date | What happens |
|---|---|
| Now to early Nov. | Record baseline prices (see below) |
| Nov. 3 | Election day |
| Nov. 12 | Missouri’s HB 2641 makes intoxicating hemp dispensary-only; Illinois moves it into licensed cannabis; Vermont realigns to federal law |
| Nov. 26 | Thanksgiving |
| Nov. 27 | Black Friday |
| Nov. 30 | Cyber Monday |
| Dec. 11 | Federal total-THC rule applies to THCA flower; the current stopgap funding also ends |
Sources for the legal dates: H.R. 6500, Sec. 2019, CRS IF13136, Missouri Independent, Illinois Governor, Vermont CCB testimony. As of Oct. 3, 2026, no further delay of Dec. 11 has passed.
That makes 2026 different from every earlier Black Friday. In past years a missed sale meant waiting for the next one. This year, for THCA flower sold as hemp, there is no next one unless Congress moves the date.
Step 1: write down a baseline now
A Black Friday discount is only as real as the price it is measured against. Do this in October or the first week of November:
- Pick three to five lots you would actually buy. Note seller, strain, grade, lot code and COA test date.
- Record the price for each Weight Option you would buy, and the date.
- Convert each to price per gram: price ÷ 453.6 for a pound, ÷ 226.8 for a half pound, ÷ 28.35 for an ounce.
- Screenshot the page. Prices change without notice.
For a market yardstick, public listings from 15 online sellers on Oct. 2, 2026 ran about $0.35 to $1.21 a gram for smalls, $0.66 to $1.98 for greenhouse and light-dep, and $1.10 to $2.87 for commercial indoor (full bands).
Step 2: convert every deal format to price per gram
Black Friday offers come in formats designed to be hard to compare. Turn each into one number. The figures below are worked examples, not anyone’s real prices.
| Format | Example | Price per gram |
|---|---|---|
| Percent off | 25% off a $400 pound = $300 | $300 ÷ 453.6 = $0.66 |
| Buy one, get one | 2 pounds for $700 | $700 ÷ 907.2 = $0.77 |
| Spend-and-save tier | $50 off orders over $500; you add a $150 HP to a $400 LB to qualify | $500 ÷ 680.4 = $0.73 |
| Free item with purchase | “Free ounce” with a $420 pound | $420 ÷ 481.95 = $0.87, if you would use the ounce |
| Free shipping threshold | $25 shipping waived above $300 | Add the shipping you avoid only if you would have paid it |
| Mystery box | “2 lbs of assorted top lots” for $500 | $500 ÷ 907.2 = $0.55, if every bag names a lot with its COA |
Compare the result with your baseline for the same grade, not with the sticker. A BOGO that works out higher per gram than last month’s single-pound price is not a deal. Neither is a tier that only pays off if you buy flower you did not want.
Step 3: what a real doorbuster looks like
A doorbuster is a deep, limited offer meant to pull you in. The real ones have four things:
- A stated quantity. “First 20 pounds of this lot” is checkable. FTC pricing guides say a seller should not “make a ‘limited’ offer which, in fact, is not limited” (16 CFR 233.5).
- A named lot with a current COA. The same lot you saw at the baseline price, not an unnamed “house” lot.
- A price below your own baseline. Not below an invented “was” price.
- No switch. If the advertised item is “sold out” in minutes and the page pushes a pricier lot, that is the pattern the FTC calls bait advertising: “an alluring but insincere offer to sell a product… which the advertiser in truth does not intend or want to sell” (16 CFR 238.0).
“Free” offers have their own rule. Under the FTC’s guide, a seller should not recover the cost of a free item by marking up the price of what you must buy, and the “regular price” has to rest on real sales over the preceding 30 days (16 CFR 251.1). Your baseline is how you check that.
Step 4: get a ship date before you pay
This is where 2026 bites. Under the FTC’s Mail, Internet, or Telephone Order Merchandise Rule, a seller must ship within the time it states, or within 30 days if it states none (16 CFR 435.2). For an order placed on Nov. 27, those 30 days run to Dec. 27, sixteen days after Dec. 11.
So ask, in writing: when will this ship, by which carrier, and what happens if it is late? If a seller cannot meet its promised date, the rule says it must offer you the option to consent to the delay or cancel for a prompt refund. Take the refund if the new date is near or after Dec. 11. As of Oct. 3, 2026, USPS accepts hemp only when the shipper complies with federal, state and local law and keeps compliance records for 3 years (USPS Publication 52, section 453.37). After Dec. 11, high-THCA flower no longer qualifies as hemp under federal law.
Carriers are at their busiest that week. Order early in the weekend, not on Cyber Monday night.
Step 5: pay in a way you can undo
Holiday weekends bring copycat sale pages and fake “your parcel is held” texts. Pay with a method you can dispute, type the seller’s address yourself, and never pay a new fee that appears after the order. Our THCA scams guide covers the patterns and what to do if one gets you.
Before you check out
- Price per gram below your baseline for the same lot and grade.
- Lot code and COA test date match the listing.
- Quantity limits stated, if it is billed as limited.
- Ship date in writing, well before Dec. 11, 2026.
- Your state still allows it. Several states change on Nov. 12, and THCA flower is not legal in all 50 states.
- An amount you will actually use.

Questions
- When is Black Friday 2026?
- Friday, Nov. 27, 2026, the day after Thanksgiving on Nov. 26. Cyber Monday is Nov. 30. Black Friday falls 14 days before Dec. 11, 2026, the date federal law starts counting THCA toward the 0.3% total-THC hemp limit.
- Will there be Black Friday THCA deals in 2026?
- Expect them. Sellers of THCA flower have stock with a fixed federal end date, so the Black Friday weekend is the last big sale window before Dec. 11, 2026. Judge each one on price per gram against a price you wrote down before the sale.
- How do I know a Black Friday THCA deal is real?
- Write down the price per gram of the lots you want in October or early November. On Black Friday, check that the same lot is cheaper per gram, that the COA is current, and that any 'limited' quantity is stated. FTC guides say a 'limited' offer must actually be limited, and a 'free' item cannot be paid for by raising the price of what you buy.
- Will a Black Friday THCA order arrive before December 11?
- Only if the seller ships in time, so get a ship date in writing. The FTC's mail order rule gives a seller 30 days to ship when no time is stated, which for a Nov. 27 order runs to Dec. 27, past Dec. 11. A seller who misses a promised date must offer you the choice to cancel for a prompt refund.
